1. Start — Click the Start button. A 25-minute focus session begins and Lilo retreats behind the hand.
2. Focus — Work on one task. The hand sweeps slowly across as the timer counts down.
3. Peekaboo! — When your session ends, Lilo pops out with his famous call. A small reward for your effort.
4. Short break — A 5-minute rest begins automatically. Breathe, stretch, step away from the screen.
5. Repeat — After 4 rounds, you earn a 15-minute long break. Then the cycle starts again.
6. Free peek — Press Play Peekaboo! at any time for a quick look — no timer needed.
7. Sounds — To test and change alert sounds, open the ⚙ Settings menu in the top bar. The Peekaboo, Glissando, and Sweet sounds are available.

Customise — Use the Settings button in the top bar to adjust timer durations and alert sounds.

The Pomodoro Technique is a gentle way to focus without burning out. You concentrate for 25 minutes on one thing — no distractions — then take a 5-minute break to breathe, stretch, or sit with a warm drink. After four rounds, you take a longer rest of 15 minutes.

It’s named after a tomato-shaped kitchen timer (pomodoro means “tomato” in Italian). Short, intentional bursts of focus feel much less overwhelming than staring down an entire day’s to-do list. Perfect for cozy, low-stress productivity.

Peekaboo (also peek-a-boo) is one of the oldest and most universal games in the world. One person hides their face — often behind their hands — then suddenly reveals it with a joyful “Peekaboo!”

The game follows a joke-like structure built on surprise balanced with expectation. The anticipation, the hiding, the reveal — all wrapped in a moment of pure delight. Linguists have compared it to a conversation: predictable back-and-forth, turn-taking, and shared joy.

Developmentally, Peekaboo teaches object permanence — the understanding that something still exists even when you can’t see it. The hidden face becomes thrilling because you know it’s still there.
